Engineered Wood Floor Installation

- Broom or vacuum
- Chalk line
- Tapping block
- Hand or electric jamb saw, mitre saw
- Moisture meter
- Straight edge
- Table saw
- Utility knife, pry bar

- Tape measure
- 3M blue tape
- Wood flooring adhesive
- Safety glasses
- cleaner

- Use urethane towels and trowel if gluing or a Bostitch Floor Runner (S3297-LHFZ) with 1" staple or a 50C Power Nailer for nailing with a 1 1/2" power cleat. (Note: you must use a 3/8" or 1/2" adapter as appropriate)
- Caution: Improper use of the Power Nailer can mark the surface of the flooring.

Supplies Needed

Tapping Block
A Tapping Block enables you to tap planks into position without damaging the plank's extruding tongue. The Tapping Block has a slot that fits over the tongue, allowing you to position the plank.
Pull Bar
When you are too close to the wall to use the Tapping Block, a pull bar gets the job done. You use this by placing the pull bar over the short side of the plank to ease it into the proper position.
